The Brief

To name and brand the book travel service that intertwines enchanting worlds of literature and exploration. The service needs to appeal to book lovers, literary enthusiasts, and curious travellers
of all ages. The brief was set by Public Studio.

The Insight

Readers don’t just consume stories; they imagine living them. Many want to go beyond reading and physically experience the story’s settings. Fictional meals, rich in sensory detail, offer voyeuristic pleasure and emotional connection that stay with readers. Whether sipping coffee in Tokyo with Murakami’s characters or dining with Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, these moments connect readers to the story through intimacy, taste and atmosphere. Eating what characters ate turns imagination into real-world experience. It’s about becoming part of the story, not just visiting it.

The Solution

To bring this immersive literary experience to life, the project developed a unique travel service that curates journeys centered on iconic meals from beloved books. Each destination is thoughtfully designed to capture the authentic atmosphere and culinary traditions described in the stories, allowing travellers to truly taste the narrative. By blending storytelling with real-world exploration, this service engages all the senses, creating a deeper connection to literature and favourite characters. The result is a memorable experience that transforms the joy of reading into tangible, unforgettable adventures.
